Product Naming Contest
NeoBiosystems, Inc. will soon release a precise pressure control system for making tight seals.
It can be used with our existing automated patch clamp systems, or as an independent product on the traditional
rig. We would like to extend the opportunity to our customers to name this new product. If we use the name
that you suggest, then you will receive the product for free. The deadline for entering this contest is April 30, 2008.
Features of the New product:
- Control is via a USB 2 interface.
- Pressure range is -250 mmHg to +150 mmHg with a resolution of +/- 1.25 mmHg. Mini-pumps are included so air tanks are not needed.
- Both manual control and auto-control functions. With auto-seal function, clicking a button and the controller will
make seal and go whole cell automatically based on the parameters you set. Manual control functions allow users to control pressure for make seals
and applying suction pulses for going whole cell.
- Measure the pressure. Find out what pressures you use for making seals.
- Save protocols for different cell types.
- With our PatchMAX, ChannelMAX and ezPatch, all you need is to load electrodes, click a button and wait. Making seal and going whole cell are all computer controlled.
- Can be used for stretch channel study.
List Price: Approximately $4,000.
Contest Rules:
- If NeoBiosystems uses the product name that you suggest its pressure controller, then you will receive one
NeoBiosystem’s pressure controller free of charge within three months after it is released for sale. If more than
one entrant submit the winning product name, then the first person who submits the winning name will receive
NeoBiosystems’ pressure controller free of charge. The rest of the entrants will receive 50% off one unit if the purchase
is made within two years from April 30, 2008.
- All entrants will receive a 10% discount towards the purchase of NeoBiosystems’ pressure controller if the purchase is made within one year from April 30, 2008.
